I'm Serina, and Petal Trace is my quiet corner of the internet where paper, plants, and practical home fixes meet. I learned most of my DIY the slow way, by doing a project, messing up a little, then figuring out what to change next time. I keep coming back to DIY because it turns "I wish I could" into something I can hold in my hands. I started saving ideas after moving apartments twice and refusing to buy duplicates I could make better.
My story
I started Petal Trace after I spent one weekend trying to make a simple gift wrap setup that kept falling apart. I bought the wrong kind of tape, my measurements were off, and I ended up laughing at myself while I taped everything back together anyway.
A friend asked where I found the idea, and I realized I hadn't bookmarked anything useful. So I began writing down what worked, what failed, and the little tweaks I wish someone had told me. I've been adding projects ever since, one test batch at a time.
What I cover
On Petal Trace, you'll find DIY projects, small home upgrades, and paper-and-plant style ideas that I've actually built in my own space. I write from my process: what materials I used, what I'd do differently, and how long it took me. I'm careful with recommendations because I'm the one making them, cleaning up after them, and seeing whether they last through real use, not just a before-photo.
